RIVER CRUISING
River cruising is the fastest growing segment in the cruising world. Unlike ocean cruises that spend time at sea and only visit ports on the coast, river cruise boats dock in the heart of towns and cities within the interior. (Can you imagine having your floating hotel room located at the base of the Eiffel Tower??) This makes it very easy to use the boat as a home base while exploring new places. And since the boat moves slowly down the river, sightseeing takes on a whole new meaning as you watch the ever-changing countryside slide by, view medieval castles on the hillside, see picturesque historic towns, watch in awe as locals work on the steep slopes of their vineyards, and wave at the children playing in their backyards. Truly a unique and wonderful experience.
And everything is included in the price: bus and walking tours in each of the towns; bicycles; local beer, local wine, and sodas for lunch and dinner; laundry facilities; Wi-Fi; and of course, outstanding food!
Because of the small size (usually no more than 150 passengers), you get a very personal and intimate experience - something you don't get with the large mega cruise ships that have 3,000 to 6,500 passengers.
And the service is beyond expectations! The personal touch is what makes river cruising an exeptional experience.
River cruises are available to many different parts of the world including Europe, Italy, Russia, China, Vietnam, and Egypt, just to mention a few.
Once you've tried river cruising, you won't want to go back to ocean cruising.
